I came across an interesting article on BBC titled, "Why Shanghai's first American Chinese restaurant is taking off," and got to wondering ... is Americanized Chinese food a necessarily bad thing? I've spent a lot of time eating different types of food at my parents restaurant: American/Americanized Chinese/Authentic Chinese/French/Thai and the only thing I can be sure of is that sometimes you just want Orange Chicken. There's just something about the sweet and savory flavor fusion that leaves you wanting more. Now, is there Orange Chicken in China? Probably somewhere, but it's not authentic. But who really cares? Eat what you love!
P.s. our restaurant offers almost anything you could possibly dream of (like the ultimate Burger King - have it your way). Whether you crave authentic or want something more Americanized; we'll work with you to make sure you leave happy.
